WHAT WE BELIEVE & TEACH

STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe that the bible is the infallible and inerrant word of God. We believe in the one triune God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). We believe that Jesus was sent to save sinners. We believe that He hung, bled and died and is making intersession for us sitting on the right hand of God. We believe that Salvation only comes through Jesus Christ. We believe the church is a local body of baptized believers who have agreed together to worship Jesus Christ in the power of Holy Spirit. Baptism symbolizes the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Lord’s Supper is a reminder of Christ’s death and the anticipation of His Second Coming.

OUR BRIEF CHURCH HISTORY

THE JOURNEY TO 30 YEARS OF MINISTRY

In November of 2001 with the leading of the Holy Spirit I had a vision to reach unsaved people with the good news of Jesus Christ. Pastor Gerald Jones expressed that God had put a call on his life to start a church in the FM 1960 area of Houston Texas. Pastor Gerald Jones and a few family and friends started Family Fellowship Community Church November 25, 2001. The first meeting was held at the home of Pastor Gerald & Sister Gwyn Jones. The first worship service was held on Sunday in the Ponderosa Meeting Facility at 2021 Anvil Dr. Houston Texas. Family Fellowship is now worshipping at 17125 Ella Blvd in the Spring ISD learning Center.

Pastor Gerald Devon Jones

Pastor Gerald D. Jones is currently serving as Pastor of the Family Fellowship Community Baptist Church. Pastor Jones is happily married to Gwyn Elizabeth (Worley) Jones of 36 years, who has parented three God given children Geralyn and husband (Taimon) Mosley, Geremy and wife (Earline) Jones and Grace Jones. Seven grandchildren Leilah (11), Kelsey (9), Jailen (9), Gregory (6), Tracey (2), Jassette (1), Josiah (8) months.

Pastor Gerald D. Jones is a passionate and professional preacher who believes in building biblical believer as we await the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Pastor Jones enthusiastic and evangelic skills has continued to love people to Christ and lead them into Christian service. He is letting God work in him to help families locally and internationally. In additional to pastoral duties, Pastor Jones works with schools mentoring, apartment after school bible studies, non-profit organizations and community businesses.     

Pastor Gerald D. Jones is a retired Air Force Master Sergeant; Fuels Compliance and Environmental Superintendent who was assigned to the 147th Fighter Wing, Logistics Management Squadron where he supervised, maintained and operated petroleum and cryogenic, products, facilities and equipment. He enlisted the U.S. Air Force in June 1974 and was employed as an ANG Technician from August 1987 to January 2007; having over 32 years of combined military and civil service.
